America's greatest ally smashed Jesus Christ in the face with a hammer and the reviews among American Christians are timid and compliant
A soldier with the Israeli Defense Force (IDF) took a sledgehammer to the chin of a toppled statue of Jesus in Lebanon. An image of the moment quickly went viral after being uploaded to social media on April 19, 2026. The soldier responsible was allegedly “relieved from combat duty,” according to IDF sources.
However, here in the U.S., the issue is largely ignored by major news outlets. Although symbolically being an outward gesture of hate toward Christ and his followers, the picture is being shrugged off as inconsequential by many Conservative Christians who have been faced with an onslaught of mental gymnastic routines to justify the relationship between their religion and politics lately.

It seems like Bryon Noem’s massive transgender bimbo tits were the precise objects needed to topple the House of Cards upholding the lightly veiled Christian values of the Trump administration. Since the photos of Noem and his crooked nipples became the cannon fodder for millions of memes a few weeks ago, the MAGA movement, the group largely responsible for the surge in new Christians in the U.S., has had the rug pulled out from underneath them.
Constant reports of infidelity, war, sexual deviancy, corporate greed, idolatry, drunkenness, and the defacing of Christ himself now, along with that pesky sex-trafficker, Jeffrey Epstein, with his incredibly close ties to President Trump and Israel, Republican politicians have been taking a jackhammer to the Christ-centered foundation of their belief system.
Instead of admitting fault and asking forgiveness for what appears to be textbook heresy, these leaders, who have all intertwined their personas around Christianity, are doubling down on rhetoric. Reiterating talking points which promote the goals of the party to be more imperative than adherence to the teachings of Jesus Christ.
Vice President JD Vance even went as far as to accuse the Pope of spreading “liberal ideology” by speaking out against the war in Iran. Albeit many people agree with Pope Leo’s stance on this war, it’s worth acknowledging that Republican politicians having beef with the Catholic Church is like the Battle of the Bulge for organizations that will do anything and everything besides ever fixing that one, uh, underage issue they both have in common.
Fox News host Sean Hannity even denounced a lifelong devotion to the Catholic Church live on television. Apparently, he believes more in the agenda of Donald Trump than in the institution that instilled him with a lifetime’s worth of faith in Jesus Christ.
I’m not the biggest fan of institutionalized religion because I grew up in it, but that doesn’t mean I’ve forgotten what the Bible says, and from the outside looking in, I think they’re doing it wrong. I might have to dust off the old Bible, but I don’t remember any scripture that says to abandon all noble conviction and morality to worship a behemoth of greed and corruption.
What I do remember is that the Bible has no room for half-steppers. You’re all in the way in, or you are a civilian. If you take it seriously, it’s gang shit to the highest level. He might be in major need of some medication and a glass of water, but, in my opinion, Shia LaBeouf has spit some of the most authentic takes on Christianity in a long time.
Channel 5 News interview with Shia LaBeouf
The majority of both Testaments are parables and tales of people willing to literally die for their belief in a savior who preached an infallible truth. The Bible is a collection of stories about people who lived their lives to a very strict and particular set of standards in search of a life after death, one earned by devoting themselves to a God who gave all for them. Scripture explicitly requires a full and unwavering dedication to following a path of godliness. For those who take the role of Christian seriously, there should be no truth or word higher than the ones inside that holy text, but the mouth of Trump has officially given God a solid run for his money.
While there are still plenty of true believers in God and his only begotten son across the globe, the modern American Christian movement seems to have lost its spine. The faith has been misdirected from God to Trump and his band of misfit toys.
Believe in Jesus or don’t. That’s up to you. Your ability to elect into a faith in him is one of those inalienable rights that the 13 American service members deployed to Iran this year died for. But if you want to make that guy the bedrock of your political beliefs, as the Republicans have, then you should probably start getting angry.
You should be furious at the President for committing blasphemy by visually representing himself as your savior in an AI slop post. You should be outraged at the Secretary of War for quoting fake scripture written by Quentin Tarantino. You should be indignant at your “greatest ally” hammer smashing the face of your holy one while they continue on a path of genocidal rage across the Middle East.
Christianity has been kneecapped by American divisionism, politics, and greed. For many “Christians” still supporting this administration without even the slightest contest, Christianity is not a way of life or devotion to the path of righteousness for them; it’s just another fucking subscription service.
